We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Sales Development Manager to join the team in our dealership in Erdington.

We are offering a basic salary of £23,000 basic plus a competitive bonus and company car.

Circa £60,000

Key Purpose of the Role

The role is tasked with increasing the Volume & unique customer base within a defined geographic territory. This customer facing role involves acquisition of new customers via leading negotiation of New Business proposals alongside the task to manage, grow and retain Key Accounts with the focus being to developing valuable long-term customer relationships within several distinct channels:

You are required to maintain ethical standards in accordance with the Company’s policies and the Company's Compliance Guidelines and Policies including Anti-Bribery and all relevant competition law.

To ensure that within your area of operation all regulations and standards with regards to FCA are adhered to.

You will:

  • Actively identify and secure new business opportunities and deliver high value-add solutions to clients. Using highly effective networking skills, the role holder will develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities within a defined geographical region, securing referrals and recommendations through proactive self-generation of leads; in order to deliver sales targets.
  • Use expertise to build relationships with executive decision makers across all channels and through engagement with customers, prospects and our partners, in order to achieve agreed sales and profit objectives
  • Convey complex customer requirements internally and work collaboratively to develop and present solutions that meet the customers underlying needs
  • Work closely with local Brand Area Fleet Manager & Local Business Development Manager communities to surface & close opportunities
  • Gain a full understanding of each prospect's definitions of value and what will motivate change in their organisation in order to develop a compelling sales argument and win new business whilst meeting customer needs
  • Maintain a regularly updated win/loss analysis

You will have:

  • Excellent understanding of the vehicle fleet sector
  • Demonstrable sales track record in winning large fleet accounts
  • Experience of operating within a new business and/or account management environment preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of sales and implementation of Salary Sacrifice
  • A track record of establishing effective long-term relationships with new customers
  • Experience of using advanced consultative selling skills to win multiple deals year-on-year
  • Experience of negotiating complex contracts as the basis for developing long-term customer relationships
  • Comfortable conducting professional business meetings both face to face and via video conference
  • Accomplished negotiator including executive level decision-makers
  • Highly commercial with excellent business planning skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Highly energetic, self-motivated and self-sufficient, with infectious enthusiasm
  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills - both inside and outside the business
  • Knowledge of both PC & LCV markets desirable
