Mercedes-Benz Vans Warranties

For complete peace of mind, all Mercedes-Benz Vans purchased from an authorised Mercedes-Benz Vans Dealer such as LSH Auto will receive the Mercedes-Benz Vans UK warranty. It is effective from the day your van was first registered and provides you with 36 months of stress-free motoring, regardless of your mileage.

Warranties can be quite complicated so we’ve simplified them as much as we possibly can in this easy guide. If you have any other questions about warranties or any other aspect of owning a Mercedes-Benz Van, then please do get in touch.

What exactly is a warranty?

A warranty is designed to protect you from having to pay for any costly mechanical failures or manufacturing defects that occurred during the building of your vehicle. It is a demonstration that we believe our vehicles are of superior quality but if, for any reason they are not, we will put it right.

How long does a warranty last?

All vehicles registered in the UK come with a 3 year manufacturers warranty.

When does the warranty start?

This is very simple: The warranty period starts from the date of 1st registration.

What is covered by the warranty?

Mercedes-Benz warranties cover any defects in the materials or workmanship that occur as a result of the vehicle manufacturing process. For more detailed information on this, please refer to your specific model warranty.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Because a warranty is only designed to cover defects that arise during the manufacturing process, we can’t cover problems arising from:

  • Failure to follow instructions contained in the vehicle’s operating manual or maintenance booklets, or from your Authorised Mercedes-Benz Dealer, Garage or Repairer.
  • Failure to have the vehicle maintained and serviced correctly as set out in the maintenance booklet.
  • Incorrect repairs by an unauthorised garage.
  • The fitting of non-approved parts, additional equipment and bodywork, or other unauthorised vehicle modifications.
  • Damage caused by excessive speed.
  • Not following advice provided by the vehicle’s information system or dashboard warning lights.
  • Exceeding gross vehicle weights, axle loads and payload capacity.
  • ‘Wear and tear’ on parts, such as oil and lubricants, filters, brake pads, clutch materials, wiper blades, tyres, some exhaust components and shock absorbers.

This list is not exhaustive. Please refer to your specific model warranty.

What costs are covered?

Mercedes-Benz will pay for the cost of the repair, inclusive of parts and labour.

What costs are not covered?

Incidental costs such as rental charges, telephone calls, travel or accommodation expenses, and loss of business earnings are not covered.

How do I get a warranty issue resolved?

Contact your nearest LSH Auto dealership who are Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairers as soon as possible (and within one month) of becoming aware of the defect. All warranty work must be carried out by a Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairer.

Can my warranty be invalidated?

Any major modifications affecting the basic integrity of the vehicle are likely to invalidate your warranty. Similarly, any tampering with the odometer will also invalidate a warranty.

For full details of all of the warranty terms and conditions, please refer to your specific model warranty document.
