The event, designed to bring together and empower women, attracted more than 70 delegates to Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham on Bromford Lane, Erdington.

Guest speakers included Kirsty Davies-Chinnock, the founder of the Women in Industry Podcast and Managing Director of Professional Polishing Services Ltd., Nancy Rignall, Managing Director of Prospecting Dynamics, Debbie Street, Vice President of CGI, and Kathy Cooper, an accredited Business Executive Coach and NLP Practitioner who previously held Director roles at JLR and ICL.

Mark Smith, President of the Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce and Women of the Year (WOTY) Ambassador, chaired the panel discussion.

Kirsty Davies-Chinnock said:It was great to meet the fellow panellists and to hear their experiences of working in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. The venue and hospitality were outstanding – thank you to the team at LSH Auto and the other sponsors for creating a great Women of the Year Awards networking event. Get your nominations in for this year’s awards!”

Now in its 42nd year, the iconic Women of the Year Awards, sponsored by Aldermore Bank, Freeths, Pertemps, Roland Dransfield PR, Strategi Solutions and LSH Auto, celebrate outstanding female role models across all areas of society and business. Nominations are now open, and the winners will be announced at Manchester’s Etihad on Friday 11th October, 2024 in an event that’s expected to host over 400 people.

Women of the Year Awards Director, Emma Elston MBE said:“I would like to thank our brilliant, insightful and inspiring panel, perfectly hosted by Women of the Year Ambassador Mark Smith. It was fantastic to see such a large and diverse group of women across a range of business sectors come together to discuss real issues affecting them in everyday business.

“LSH Auto knocked it out of the park yet again as hosts of the networking event. From WOTY 2024 numberplates and our logo across the impressive cars and vehicles on show to balloons, floral displays and WOTY cakes, the day was incredible from start to finish.”

Tracy Ellam, Operations Director for LSH Auto, said:We are so proud to sponsor the Women of the Year awards and were thrilled to host the ‘Women In…’ networking event at our Birmingham dealership. I’ve found every WOTY event that I’ve attended so inspirational and empowering that I decided to bring my teenage daughter along to this one, as did our Group Marketing Manager. I hope that everybody who attended enjoyed the event and went away feeling as inspired as they did.”
