Mercedes-Benz of Whitefield sponsors Greenmount Cricket Club​

We are proud to announce another sponsor, this time between our Mercedes-Benz of Whitefield site and Greenmount Cricket Club.

The earliest mention of a cricket team in Greenmount was in a Bury Times article in 1867, which described a match having taken place between ‘Green Mount and Tottington’. Today the club has three senior teams and three junior teams (under 11s, 13s and 15s) who play in the JWLees Lancashire League. A fourth senior team plays friendlies, and an under 9s junior team also plays in the Greater Manchester Cricket League.

As one of the club’s main sponsors, our LSH Auto logo and and Mercedes-Benz of Whitefield, will be proudly displayed on shirts across all teams.

Greenmount CC Chairman Andrew Skinner commented: “I am chuffed to bits for our club to partner with such a high-quality brand like Mercedes-Benz of Whitefield, and see this as another positive step forward in lifting the profile of the club in the local community. Already, as a result of their support, we have upgraded our playing kits for the season ahead, including an exciting new T20 design. We have also been able to offer free playing shirts to all our junior members. I’m looking forward to developing the partnership in the coming season and enjoying some great cricket together!”

Our partnership comes at a time when Greenmount Cricket Club is investing in upgrades to all aspects of the club facilities, having recently installed brand-new practice nets and two hybrid pitches. The club has also continued to improve the internal lounges which now include a refurbished function room, home to the renowned Harrison’s at Greenmount bistro.
