A Year 4 student from King’s School in Macclesfield has won a competition to have her car design wrapped onto a BYD Dolphin.

LSH Auto recently opened its new BYD store on Lyme Green Retail Park in Macclesfield and to celebrate, invited local school children to create a design for their perfect BYD Dolphin.

May Codling, aged nine, was the overall winner and was thrilled to see her design brought to life on the brand new BYD Dolphin, which was delivered to King’s School for all to see. May and her family will also enjoy a trip to Sea Life Manchester as part of her prize.

James Flemming, Head of Business for LSH Auto in Macclesfield, said: “We were really impressed with May’s design. As BYD was a headline sponsor for UEFA Euro 2024, May cleverly incorporated a football theme into her design with dolphins, footballs and a trophy. Everybody at the school was really excited when we arrived with her design emblazoned on the new BYD Dolphin.”

Last year LSH Auto was one of the first dealer groups in the UK to be appointed as an official retailer for BYD. Having successfully launched last summer in Stockport, its first models arrived in Macclesfield just before Christmas.

Current models include the BYD ATTO 3, BYD Dolphin, BYD Seal, and the new BYD Seal U DMi. In addition to displaying the full range of BYD models, the new store has a number of demonstrator vehicles available for test drives and a dedicated handover bay.
