LSH Auto has been recognised nationally as a leader in Diversity and Inclusion at one of the UK’s biggest motor trade awards.

The company has been highly commended at the Motor Trader Industry Awards in the Diversity and Inclusion category.

LSH Auto works hard to promote diversity and inclusion in all its forms across gender, ethnicity, mental and physical disability and different abilities, LGBT+ rights, socio-economic groups and more. It’s currently working towards its aim to achieve a 50/50 female to male workforce and has fully-trained mental health first aiders across the business.

Ian Williams, Head of Human Resources at LSH Auto, said: “Being highly commended in these awards is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

“We’re passionate about promoting diversity, equality and inclusion in all its forms, so we’re thrilled to be recognised as one of the best automotive businesses in the UK for our work in this area. We care about our colleagues and we're committed to creating a workplace that enables them to maximise their potential.

“The automotive industry has traditionally seen a much higher percentage of male colleagues than female colleagues. LSH Auto has a desire and appetite to change this.

“We want diversity and inclusion to be part of everything we do, at all levels of the business. We believe whole-heartedly that nobody should be discriminated against because of who they are or what they believe. Opportunities at LSH Auto are open to all our colleagues, based on their hard work, ambition and ability.

“We understand that diversity provides a range of experiences and perspectives that strengthen and add value to our collective performance. And we know that our colleagues perform best when they feel included, valued and treated fairly.”

LSH Auto is recruiting for a number of positions across Birmingham, Solihull, Tamworth, Stockport, Macclesfield and Whitefield from technicians, aftersales and sales executives, to parts operatives, customer experience team members and central support roles.

Tracy Ellam, Operations Director at LSH Auto, said: “We’re really pleased to be highly commended for such an important award. We know that there’s more work to be done and we’re committed to continuing to improve equity, diversity and inclusion across our industry.”

The winners of the Motor Trader Industry Awards were announced on Wednesday 23 November at Grosvenor House Hotel, on London’s Park Lane.
